Three Part Process to the book with free CD Part one contains:
With this treatment it is important to understand that you are not giving something up, so you do not feel deprived or missing out on anything and therefore do not need a substitute. You do not envy others when you see them smoking and there is no change in lifestyle required. You feel very proud of yourself because you have achieved becoming a non-smoker, self-achievement. Part three Listen to the CD. To succeed you need determination and commitment, and the desire to become a non-smoker for yourself rather than someone else pressurizing you into doing so. Most 'smokers' have an inner conflict whereby one day they want to quit and another day they are not too sure. However you will know when the time is right for you. Hypnosis is a natural state of total relaxation within the body and a state of increased awareness within the mind. As you enter the hypnotic state you will become less aware of your surroundings and more aware of your inner feelings. You will automatically focus your attention on the agreed suggestions that are being put to you in order to master a particular problem i.e. your smoking habit. During hypnosis you are in an altered state of consciousness where changes can easily be made to induce healing and increase self-awareness.In this relaxed state the subconscious mind is more receptive and therefore able to respond to outside stimuli and suggestions. The suggestions concern areas that you would like to change about yourself. Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to facilitate change. Agreed positive suggestions are placed into the subconscious level of your mind while you are in a relaxed state of hypnosis. The suggestions are your conscious desires, for example that you have no cravings or desires to smoke. You will never do anything that you do not agree with or which goes against your moral code. Anyone can be hypnotized providing that they want to be. However, a therapist would not even attempt to hypnotize those heavily influenced by alcohol or illegal drugs. Through the power of suggestion. The therapist acts as a catalyst by placing suggestions into your subconscious mind that you want placed there and you act upon them. During hypnosis you will feel pleasantly relaxed, as though you are in a trance like dreamy state. Feelings of euphoria are common but you are unlikely to feel hypnotized, at least your conception of hypnosis. Most people have expressed a sense of waiting for it to happen and usually think they will be asleep during the hypnotic state but the opposite is true. You are in fact in a state of heightened awareness. During hypnosis you are neither asleep nor fully awake and you do not relinquish control at any time.
